Mara has a diverse background, concentrating her practice in complex litigation and employment law. Mara represents private and public companies in both federal and state courts and administrative tribunals. As Co-Chair of Herrick, Feinstein's Employment Practice Group, Mara represents public and private companies in all types of employment litigation including trade secret, restrictive covenant and unfair competition litigation, ERISA, FLSA and WARN violations, and claims brought under federal, state and local statutes alleging sexual harassment and discrimination. Mara regularly litigates in federal and state courts and before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, N.Y.S. Division of Human Rights and N.Y.C. Commission on Human Rights, and defends companies involved in Department of Labor audits and other governmental investigations of labor practices.
